Construction

Here's a much overdue post.  Construction is well underway on the kitchen and east addition, but first a few demo pictures...

The kitchen as we tore out the cabinetry and counter tops:

 

A lovely nest of some sort above the cabinets.  Unfortunately, this is not the only nest we found.  Thank goodness we're remodeling and cleaning up this place.

The dining room ceiling had been insulated with blow-in insulation, which made for a huge mess to clean.

All of these bags are full of the insulation from the dining room ceiling:

 

 

 

 

 

We completed most of the demo ourselves, but left a few items for the contractor.  Here's the final photo, before construction began.
